When 2016 started, I decided I was going to focus on running because it seemed like I could easily do it. I met Friends at the gym and thanks to them and my trainer who helped in my fitness journey I considerably improved. They encouraged me to participate in my fisrt Half-Marathon (21km). I was not really ready due to the fact that I had never run more tan 10km.
Once I finished those 21km last March, I felt like if I had fulfilled my commitment. Moreover, the exciment you feel once you complete the race is worth the effort. Once I recovered, I realized the next step will be running a whole marathon, 42km! If you’re not into sport, you should think twice before getting into it. However, you can always participate together with some friends in the world’s most famous marathon – the one in New York. It is not only the fact of getting involved into a marathon but the oportunity of visiting New York city.
Here you have 5 tips:
- Plan your nutrition way ahead.
- Set your clock back on Saturday night, the night before the race.
- Don’t wear anything new.
- Write your name on your shirt. (You will want people to scream to you all over the race).
- Last but not least… ENJOY the marathon!
