What makes you angry? People who walk slowly! And people who don’t try to learn foreign languages
Which are your best and worst traits? Best: enthusiastic, energetic and positive. Worst: impatient, stubborn. I also need my sleep and I’m very grumpy without it!!
Something unknown about you: I studied French at school and I was pretty good at it. I ran a half marathon in 2016! 2 hours 8 mins!
About your career
Why did you start teaching? I spent a year (2014) as an English Language Assistant in a primary school in Ibiza and I loved it! I trained as a primary school teacher in the UK but, because I studied Spanish, I decided to move here and teach!
What do you like most about teaching? I love the energy and dynamic environment of a classroom. I love watching people having fun and learning at the same time, it’s a wonderful experience to be part of. I also love meeting new people and forming relationships through teaching, that’s the best part of the job.
Do you have any anecdote about your classes? Hmmmm there have been lots of funny moments. I laugh a lot with my FCE teens class, they’re great fun. Once we started talking about the insects we hate the most and ended up looking at funny memes… it was a very strange conversation!!
If you weren’t a teacher, what would you like to do for a living? OOo that’s a difficult question. I would be living in Spain because I love the quality of life here. Something involving people and languages, perhaps a tour guide or translator for tourists!
What would you do if you had a time machine? Ooo another very interesting question!! I love history so I would find it difficult to choose a time period to visit! I love the Greeks and Romans so I’d probably go back to their time and live like a Roman Princess!
If you could have a super power, which one would you choose and why? To be able to fly! The sensation of soaring over the world would be incredible. And there would be nothing to slow you down, you could go anywhere at any time! Such freedom!
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
Latin America. It’s still my dream to explore the continent and the many rich cultures it has to offer. I will make it happen, watch this space!
If you could meet anyone, dead or alive, who would it be?
David Attenborough, he makes nature
documentaries. He is my hero. We have a lot to learn from him.
