What makes you happy? Playing with my daughter.
What makes you angry? Injustice and dishonesty.
Which are your best and worst traits? My best trait is my creativity. The worst is that I am a perfectionist and that sometimes can be bad.
Something unknown about you: I love museums. I love living in Málaga because of its museums.
About your career
Why did you start teaching? My parents encouraged me to be a teacher because I was good at English. I was not sure if I would like it but when I was in a classroom I realized I loved it.
What do you like most about teaching? The rapport with the students. I am still in touch with some students that I had 20 years ago. I also love learning innovative ways to teach the language.
Do you have any anecdote about your classes? A 10 year old student once told me “ I want to be like you. I want to be an English teacher”. Now she is 25 and she is finally an English teacher.
If you weren’t a teacher, what would you like to do for a living? I would be an art historian, a graphic designer or a chef.
What would you do if you had a time machine? I would have another child.
If you could have a super power, which one would you choose and why?
I would make poverty disappear because I believe we can change the world.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why? I would like to go to New York because it is a fascinating city.
If you could meet anyone, dead or alive, who would it be? I would meet my grandfather. He died when my father was very young. He was a good person.
