Do you think that B2 is an unnecessary exam? Do you think that it is difficult? Is it impossible? NO, it is a necessary exam, it is not difficult and it IS possible. Let’s do it!! We´re going to show you that it is not as impossible as you think!
First of all you need to know the B2 exam has 4 papers:
- Reading and Use of English
What is Reading and Use of English???
This is the main difference between the B1 and the B2 exam. You are now tested on your grammar and vocabulary separately to your reading ability. This paper has got 7 parts. Reading is tested in parts 1, 5, 6 and 7 and Use of English in parts 2, 3 and 4.
How are the marks calculated?
Each section (Reading, Use of English, Writing, Listening, Speaking) are each worth 20% of your final score. However, Cambridge don´t use percentages to give results they use the Cambridge Scale. Please see the below diagram to see what this means.
What will your results look like?
You will be given your Cambridge Score result for each section, as well as the overall score which is calculated by summing the 5 sections, then dividing by 5. If you have 160 or over you have passed B2 – CONGRATULATIONS!!
